According to SABTA news agency report, in this meeting, in the presence of investor agents and the Revival Fund authorities, the initial plans for the restoration of Vakil Caravanserai in Kerman were discussed.
The head of technical engineering office of the Revival Fund said: “The process of documenting the current status of the building has been conducted. One of the most important requirements of restoration is pathology, which is considered as a main topic in restoration projects.
Abdollahi referred to the completion of documentation process for this project and said that, regarding historical backgrounds and studies about Vakil Caravanserai, the investor agents have presented some explanations about the process of historical researches and studies.
“Pictures, documents, historical maps, speculations, and soil mechanics and modern excavation methods for historical buildings are a prerequisite for basic maps of the projects, all of which has been completed for Vakil Caravanserai’, he added.
He also pointed out that the current status of the building has been investigated in three main areas: architecture, installations and structure.
Given the good progress of the projects, in next few weeks the plans for staining and reviving phases will be sent to the expert committee.
Finally, Farshid Abdollahi pointed out that: “In these expert meetings, the project plans are investigated by referring to scientific basics and having revised all the possible errors, the plans will be presented for investigation, appointment and announcement to be discussed in the economic and technical council of the Revival Fund.”
